Responsibility
We send 1% of Woolify’s revenue to Stripe Climate, which buys permanent carbon removal through Frontier, Stripe’s team of scientists and commercial experts. The money pays companies that take CO₂ that is already in the air and lock it away for good: Climeworks captures it directly from the air and stores it underground in basalt rock with Carbfix; Charm Industrial turns waste biomass into bio-oil and injects it deep underground. Those are two projects from a wider portfolio.
Why removal, not offsets. An offset usually pays someone else not to emit, and that is hard to verify. Removal takes carbon back out of the atmosphere and stores it for centuries. It costs far more per ton, which is the point: early buyers are what lets new removal technology get cheaper and bigger.
Certified organic
Our toppers and pillows are merino wool in an organic cotton shell, and both fibers are certified to the Organic Content Standard, OCS 100, by Control Union. OCS is Textile Exchange’s standard for organic content: an independent certifier checks that the material started as certified organic fiber and follows it through every hand it passes, ginner, spinner, mill and workshop, so the claim on the finished product can be traced back to the farm. The 100 means at least 95% of the material is certified organic.
The rest of it
No foam, no polyester, no adhesives, no added flame retardants. Wool is a protein fiber, like hair: in a six-month composting test it broke down by half to two-thirds while polyester barely changed. What each fill turns into →
New Zealand merino, from a country where mulesing is illegal. We buy the fiber, not a finished product, so we know what is inside. On shearing →

Everything else is on the FAQ.
No. It comes out of our revenue on every order, in good months and bad. Prices are set by the wool, the cotton and the hands that make the topper, not by the contribution.
No. Offsets usually pay for emissions avoided somewhere else, which is hard to verify. Stripe Climate buys removal: carbon already in the air, taken out and stored permanently. It costs far more per ton, which is why early buyers matter.
Yes. Woolify’s page on Stripe Climate describes the programme and example projects, and Frontier publishes the removal it buys. Our Stripe Climate page →
The workshop in Istanbul that makes every Woolify topper and pillow; its scope certificate from Control Union lists both products. Woolify buys the certified fiber and the finished pieces from them. View the certificate →
Yes. The shell is organic cotton, and the certificate covers both the wool and the cotton.
GOTS certifies the processing as well as the fiber: dyes, water, labor. Which our workshop does not dye. OCS certifies the organic content of the fiber and tracks it through the chain. Our workshop holds OCS.
