Murat started Woolify in 2024 to make the wool bedding he couldn’t find: dense, hand-quilted and honest about what’s inside. He works directly with our workshop in Istanbul on everything we make.

Our story
Woolify is a small, founder-run company in San Diego, California. Our toppers and pillows are quilted and filled by hand in Türkiye from organic merino wool, and we sell them to you directly, with 90 nights to decide and a person at the other end of the email.
From the founder
I started Woolify in 2024 on a simple belief: the best sleep comes from nature, not a foam lab. People slept on wool for thousands of years before anyone made a mattress out of foam, and for good reason. Wool breathes, pulls moisture away from your skin, and keeps a bed cool on warm nights and warm on cold ones.
When I went looking for wool bedding, most of what I found was a thin pad with a few hundred grams of wool in it, a polyester shell, or a “wool blend” that behaved like polyester. The wool that actually changes how a bed sleeps is dense, carded, sealed in cotton and quilted so it cannot shift, and that kind is still made by hand. We found a workshop in Türkiye that works that way and built the company around two products instead of forty.
Two years on, that is still the plan: fewer things, made slowly with organic fibers and by hand. It takes longer and costs more to make bedding this way. I think you will feel why.
Four steps between the sheep and your bed. Nothing in them is secret; the time they take is the point.
Merino from New Zealand for the toppers and pillows. It is washed without harsh chemicals and carries OCS 100 (Organic Content Standard) certification. We buy the fiber, not a finished product, so we know what is inside.
For the toppers the clean wool is combed into an even layer of 1650 grams per square meter, about 10.5 lb in a Queen. For the pillows it is rolled into small pearls that move against each other instead of matting, which is what makes the loft adjustable.
In the workshop in Istanbul the wool layer is stitched into an organic cotton shell; the quilting pattern is what keeps the wool in place for decades. The pillows are hand-filled and finished with piped edges in Istanbul.
Every piece is checked by the people who made it, then stocked in our US warehouse. Orders ship the next business day and arrive in 3 to 5, with free shipping in the continental US.
The work happens in three places, and these are the people in them.

14 people who card, quilt, fill and finish every piece. They have been making wool bedding for generations; we are their first and only direct-to-customer brand.
Wool from farms that meet animal welfare standards, shorn once a year. OCS 100 certification covers the fiber from the manufacturer.
Four things you can hold us to.
Fill weight, dimensions and materials on every product page, including the limits: two inches of wool softens a firm mattress and does not rescue a sagging one.
No foam, no polyester, no adhesives and no added flame retardants in anything we sell.
Sleep on it for a season. If it is not right, return it within 90 days for a full refund.
Email hello@woolify.shop and our customer care team replies within one business day, or chat with them on WhatsApp, 9am–5pm PST.
Woolify starts in San Diego with one product: the mattress topper, 1650 GSM, quilted by hand in Türkiye.
The adjustable wool pillow joins it, hand-filled in Istanbul with New Zealand wool.
750 toppers donated to shelters. Everyone deserves a good night’s sleep.
Still two products. The plan is to make them better, not to make more of them.
